I did not realize the difference between single-variable and multi-variable calculus was that it was just the calculus book split into two books
so now i have to order to first half of the calculus book, seeing as i’m too lazy to return the multi-variable calc book to buy the used, older edition full calc book for essentially the same price of buying both halves of the book with the solutions manuals for both.
so while i managed to buy both for really cheap
like under 20 bucks cheap
it annoys me that they’re two halves a whole
even though it’s easier to carry, etc., etc.
not to mention these aren’t required books? I bought them because
a) apparently i’m supposed to be brilliant in calc for my stats series
b) i have not done ANY calculus besides those that involve matrices since my senior year in high school/aka my birthday/aka the day of the AP calc exam
and
c) i also enjoy math and take pleasure in doing math problems, so much so that i would take my (now former) roommates math books and do a few easy problems before i did my own, significantly less complicated math psets because it was linear algebra and dammit i don’t even remember what i did in those except it looked like this
1 0 0
0 1 0
| 0 0 1 | and this is when you know you did something right
esp when it would look like this
57 4 99
0 6 88
4 5 36
and there were arrows and vectors and i should really brush up on that as i brush up on my calculus for my stats homework
which i was given
before
class
even
started
wut.
